This Privacy Policy describes how Mailbox Hopper ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use our mobile game ("the App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy.

Information We Collect

Mailbox Hopper uses third-party services that may automatically collect certain data to help us improve the App. We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) such as:

• Name, email address, or contact information
• Financial or payment information
• Health or biometric data
• Contacts, photos, or files on your device

Data Stored Locally

The App stores the following data locally on your device only (never transmitted to us):

• High scores and progress (save.dat)
• Coin balance (coins.dat)
• Audio, graphics, language, and gameplay preferences
• Quest progress and reward state
• Tutorial completion flags and rate-prompt cooldown timestamps

This data lives in your device's application sandbox and is removed when you uninstall the App.

Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services provided by Google:

Google AdMob (Advertising)

We display banner, interstitial, and rewarded video ads via Google AdMob to support free distribution of the App. AdMob may collect:

• Advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID / iOS IDFA)
• Coarse location (country/region level)
• Device information (model, OS version, language)
• IP address (used and then discarded by Google)
• Ad interaction events (impressions, clicks)

Ads may be personalized based on your interests if you have not opted out of personalized advertising at the OS level. You can opt out at any time:

• Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads → "Delete advertising ID" (Android 12+) or "Opt out of Ads Personalization"
• iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → "Personalized Ads" OFF

Firebase Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized usage data such as session duration, in-game events, and device type. This helps us understand how players interact with the App and improve the experience. Firebase Analytics may collect:

• Device identifiers and model
• Operating system version
• App usage events and session data
• General location (country/region level)

Firebase Crashlytics

We use Firebase Crashlytics to automatically collect crash reports when the App encounters an error. This data helps us identify and fix bugs. Crashlytics may collect:

• Crash logs and stack traces
• Device state at the time of the crash (device model, OS version, available memory)
• A random installation UUID to track crash counts per user

All data collected by Firebase and AdMob services is processed by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.

Google Play Store (Rating Prompt)

After certain gameplay milestones, the App may display a prompt asking you to rate the game. If you accept, the App opens the Google Play Store via a deep link. We do not transmit any data through this prompt; the Play Store handles the rating interaction independently.

Children's Privacy

Mailbox Hopper is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country). The third-party services we use (Google AdMob, Firebase) are configured in compliance with Google Play Families Policy when applicable.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will instruct our processors to delete the associated data.

CCPA (California Residents)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" of personal information. Mailbox Hopper does not sell personal information. To exercise your CCPA rights, contact us using the email below.

Data Retention

• Locally stored data: Until you uninstall the App or manually clear it
• Firebase Analytics: 14 months (Google's default retention period)
• Firebase Crashlytics: 90 days
• AdMob: As described in Google's data retention policies

GDPR & Your Privacy Rights
